Today we'll be talking about Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. To be honest, the book was a bit confusing for me at first. It's not kind of the story where things are very clearly explained. There is no big thought twist or it's not even fast moving. So it follows a man named Siddhartha. It's not about Buddha but it's just about a man who's named Siddhartha. He's on a journey to find peace or truth and himself. So he tries everything. He leaves home. He becomes a monk. He tries being rich. He falls in love and even walks away from all of that just to live by a river. There were parts where I felt like a little lost. Like I wasn't sure what the book was trying to say. Maybe that's the point because Siddhartha is lost too. He doesn't find answers in religion or love or money. He just keeps going until he starts learning from small things like water. What I liked is that the book doesn't tell you what to believe. It's about your own understanding. It's about trusting your own path even if it's not clear yet. And I think that kind of stayed with me because I kind of felt it's okay not to have everything figured out. It's okay to be still and wait for things to happen. So yeah, Siddhartha was slow. It was a little confusing but strangely very calming too because I read it till the end. Normally when a book is very slow and confusing, I stop it there. I wouldn't care to finish it. But I did because probably because the journey was very calming and I was expecting answers for some questions in my mind. But the book did not answer them all. But yes, I kind of felt a sense of calmness after reading it. So if you're feeling lost, this book might not fix that but it might remind you that's okay. Yeah, that's all for today. Thanks for being here. I'll see you in the next one. Take care.
